Community Spotlight: Dylan Block

Chances are, you’ve had your day brightened by Dylan Block at some point and you may not have even known it. Dylan is a senior artist at Boo Radley Tattoos, a queer owned and run tattoo parlour in Regina, where he provides bold colour and playful attitude in traditional style.
You may also recognise Dylan as 2025’s Mr. Gay Regina, or by his drag persona, Pidgeon. The common thread through all of these is advocacy through art! In the last 5 years, Dylan has been hosting a Valentines Day Tattoo Fundraiser that has raised over $25,000 for Planned Parenthood Regina.
“I started these fundraisers to repay a favour that PPR had done for me” says Dylan, “You were the first place in years of searching that helped me through my health struggles”
The events started small, with Dylan as a solo artist, but since then many more artists have joined in. The fundraiser now spans several local tattoo shops!
This is by far one of the PPR staff’s favourite fundraisers every year - and not just because we have hundreds of tattoos between us. Tattoos are all about expression, body positivity, and autonomy. All of which speak right to the core of our values. Each year, seeing the new flash and seeing people show off their new ink when they come into the clinic brings so much joy!
